Mark Margolis dead at 83: Scarface and Breaking Bad star passes away in New York City following a short illness

Mark Margolis passed away at Mt Sinai Hospital in New York City on Thursday at age 83.

The actor had suffered from a short illness, his son Knitting Factory Entertainment CEO Morgan Margolis shared with DailyMail.com.

The veteran character actor had his wife Jacqueline and his son Morgan at his bedside.

He had hundreds of roles in film, television, and stage stemming back to the 1970s, best-known for his break-out role of Alberto ‘The Shadow’ in Scarface.

And he played the character Hector ‘Tio’ Salamanca in the TV series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
