A majority of Americans, including nearly 70% of Democrats, think President Joe Biden is too old for another term as president, a new poll found.
About 69% of Democrats and 77% of voters said Biden is too old to serve another four years, according to the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey.
Only 22% of voters said Biden is not too old for another presidential term.
The Associated Press poll also included a word association exercise that asked people to give the first word or phrase that comes to mind for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump and Biden.
About 28% of Democrats mentioned Biden’s age. Even one Democrat who said he approved of Biden’s performance still called him “senile.” Democrats said they preferred the terms mentioning Biden’s age over “president,” “leader,” “strong” or “capable.”
