Insecurity: Group calls for sustenance of peace in Nigeria

The Country Director, Global Peace Foundation Nigeria (GPFN), Rev John Joseph Hayab has called on Nigerians to collaborate with security agencies towards curtailing the rate of killings in parts of the country.

He noted that meaningful development cannot take place in an atmosphere of chaos.

“The rate of killings and destruction of property in the country is alarming, it calls for serious deliberation for the way forward,” he said.

Speaking on Tuesday during a one-day dialogue for “strengthening synergy between religious leaders and security operatives in Kaduna State”, organised by Kukah Centre in collaboration of Global Peace Foundation Nigeria, he said the aim of the programme is to gather stakeholders to deliberate on issues affecting security situation with a view of ensuring restoration of peace in the State.
