Oil-producing African countries under the African Petroleum Producers Organisation will converge in Nigeria to discuss the imminent challenges facing the industry in the continent.
The meeting is scheduled for October 25 and 26, 2023 in Abuja.
A statement on Tuesday, by the APPO Secretary General, Omar Farouk, stated that the meeting will allow member countries to review innovative approaches instituted by the African Petroleum Producers Organisation Member Countries to drive local content development and sustainability of Africa’s hydrocarbon resources.
“The objective of the event which is scheduled to be held between October 25 & 26, 2023 is to spur local content officials and experts in Member Countries to review the approaches and regulations employed to drive Local Content along the value chain of Africa’s Oil & Gas industry, and address the imminent challenges facing the industry.
