New House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said he is “encouraging” congressional investigations into President Joe Biden to continue.
During a Sunday interview on Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo asked Johnson if he would dedicate “financial resources and human capital” for an “in-depth” probe. She also asked if the overarching impeachment inquiry into allegations of corruption, launched before Johnson became speaker, would become an “official” impeachment.
“We’ll see, Maria. You know, I worked on the committees of jurisdiction. And Judiciary is one of those,” Johnson said during his “Sunday Morning Futures” appearance less than a week after being elected speaker by his peers.
