Presidential candidate and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) told the media on Friday that he’s actually looking into the possibility of removing President Joe Biden from the Florida ballot, in the wake of Democratic states working to scrub former President Donald Trump from their ballots.
Last month, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled 4-3 that Trump’s name could not appear on the presidential primary ballot, citing the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment.
“Any time you have a partisan secretary of state, they’re gonna go after the other party’s candidate, and this is just gonna be tit for tat, and it’s not gonna end well,” DeSantis said, detailing the consequences if Trump is indeed removed from Colorado’s ballot.
Trump has filed an appeal asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the state’s ruling, and the court has agreed to look at the case.
