Farmers from the Niger East senatorial district have received free bags of fertilizers for the 2024 farming season.
A total of 3,645 bags were distributed across the nine local governments in the district by Senator Mohammed Sani.
Three of these local governments—Rafi, Shiroro, and Munya—have been heavily affected by bandit attacks, leaving farmers fearful of tending to their fields.
The remaining local councils benefiting from the distribution are Tafa, Suleja, Gurara, Chanchaga, and Paikoro.
