Kamala Harris' Presidential Campaign Earns Record Amount In 24 Hours

Since Vice President Kamala Harris began her 2024 presidential campaign on Sunday, she has garnered a record-breaking $81 million in donations.

It’s the highest amount raised by one candidate within 24 hours, according to a campaign statement. The number includes donations to the campaign itself, the Democratic National Committee and joint fundraising committees.

For comparison, Trump’s campaign said it had pulled in nearly $53 million in the 24 hours after his New York felony conviction in May and boasted that the sum broke online records for Republicans.

Harris’ $81 million comes from more than 888,000 grassroots donors, 60% of whom were identified as first-time donors in the 2024 cycle, the campaign said, on top of $240 million already amassed by Democrats so far this election cycle.

Harris’ campaign said that Win with Black Women, an organization with a network of more than 4,000 people, hosted a call Sunday evening and raised $1.6 million of the record-breaking donation…
