Aggrieved youths in Kano State have breached the security of the state government house, amidst the protest against hardship in the country.
Armed with cudgels and stripped to their singlets in some cases, the protesters chanted anti-government slogans after erecting bonfires outside the precinct of the government building.
According to The Cable, security operatives unleashed water cannons and teargas canisters to keep the protesters at bay and prevent an arson.
This comes after protesters looted the newly built Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) Industrial Park in Kano.
An action which has been condemned by the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani.
Tijani while reacting to the looting and setting ablaze of NCC’s Industrial Complex by protesters, said millions of naira have gone down the drain.
