Megyn Kelly, Piers Morgan, and others blew up on social media after the Algerian boxer Imane Khelif — who failed gender tests — was named the female Olympic champion.
At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris on Friday, Khelif was awarded the gold in the women’s welterweight final boxing match, prompting immediate reactions on social media.
The host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast blasted the move by writing, in all caps, about how unfair it was that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded a boxer reportedly with XY chromosomes the gold medal.
“Don’t you see? Don’t you see what this insanity is doing to women??” Kelly wrote. “WHY DO GIRLS HAVE TO SHARE THEIR BATHROOMS W/BOYS? THEIR LOCKER ROOMS? THEIR SPORTS? THEIR PRISONS?”
To all the media who have FAILED WOMEN AT EVERY TURN on this boxing and virtually EVERY trans story: SHAME ON YOU ALL
