An estimated 20,000 activists are expected to make a showing near the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week to bring attention to the war in Gaza and other issues, according to the Associated Press.
The city of Chicago rejected activists’ requests to protest near United Center, the site of the DNC. However, the city did agree to permit demonstrations at a park and allowed a marching route that is closer to the United Center.
