Over 400 traditional rulers from the 17 local government areas of Abia State, on Wednesday, attended a meeting convened by Governor Alex Otti.
The meeting, which had the Chairman of Abia State council of traditional rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mba and commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Uzor Nwachukwu in attendance, also saw several traditional rulers, especially those from the hinterlands in attendance.
Speaking at the meeting held at Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Governor Otti restated his administration’s determination to secure every part of the state and to ensure the welfare of citizens.
He reiterated the need to sustain the peace being experienced in the state, adding that every community was being carried along in his administration’s development agenda.
In his speech, the Chairman of Abia State council of traditional rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mba thanked Governor Otti for the support his administration was giving to traditional rulers.
