Amir Khan has put his luxury wedding venue in Bolton up for sale just three months after hosting its first ever marriage.
The boxing icon purchased the £11.5million lavish ‘Dubai-style’ tower, which features glass walls, a waterfall and palm trees inside, earlier this year, a few months before welcoming its first wedding in May.
But despite its exotic appearance, the venue, named ‘The Balmayna’, sits nextdoor to an auto body shop and car wash in the heart of Bolton, and back in January it was surrounded by heaps of junk including broken fridges, settees and dirty mattresses.
But in a sudden u-turn, Khan, 37, who once aspired to host boxing events at the venue, is now inviting bidders to take it off his hands.
‘I am looking to sell my wedding hall for £12.5 million. The property features four floors, including three dedicated wedding floors and a rooftop events terrace,’ he wrote on X.
