Ukrainian citizens must prepare for a winter that will be more difficult to cope with than last year’s, the country’s Energy Minister German Galushchenko warned on Saturday, in a televised statement.
According to Galushchenko, there are plans to restore and build additional energy generation facilities and to establish a decentralized energy supply system for the population. However, he suggested that this may be too little, too late, noting that Russian airstrikes have had a significant impact on the Ukrainian energy network.
