Hot coffee poured on baby in Brisbane by stanger: Tragic new photos emerge

Detectives have released new images of a man wanted after a hot coffee was poured over a baby boy.

The baby was at a picnic with his mum and friends at Hanlon Park in Coorparoo in Brisbane when an unknown man approached the group at about midday on Tuesday.

He allegedly poured a thermos of coffee over the little boy, causing burns to 60 per cent of his body, before fleeing the scene.

On Thursday morning, police released new images of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the alleged assault.

He has been described as being between 30-40-years-old and of an average build and with tanned skin.

Police said the man was wearing a black hat, glasses, a checkered button-up shirt and shorts.

The latest set of images was released just a day after the baby’s parents described the severity of his injuries.

The nine-month-old suffered serious but non-life-threatening burns to 60 per cent of his body, including his face, upper body and arms.
