The Katsina State Police Command has arrested three Katsina-Nasarawa interstate suspected gunrunners in the State.
Parading the suspects before newsmen on Friday at the command headquarters, the PPRO, ASP Abubakar Sadiq said the ‘’command achieved a significant breakthrough in its fight against armed banditry and gunrunning.
“On 29th August 2024, at about 1245 hours, our operatives arrested three suspected notorious gunrunners and recovered a large cache of live ammunition.”
The suspects, identified as Ahmed Mohammed Kabir, 25, of Hayin Danmani quarters, Kaduna State, Mannir Musa, 25, of Dutsinma town, Dutsinma LGA, Aliyu Iliya, 25, of Dankauye village via Ummadau, Safana LGA, Katsina State as according to him were apprehended at Dutsinma town, Dutsinma LGA, while attempting to deliver 740 rounds of live 7.62mm ammunition to suspected armed bandits in Yauni forest,…
