As part of ongoing efforts to implement the five-kilometre road projects, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, on Friday, flagged off the construction of a five-kilometre road project in Kunchi town, Ghari Local Government Area.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, on Saturday.
According to the statement, the governor noted that the project was initiated during the second tenure of Rabi’u Kwankwaso to develop rural communities but was abandoned by the immediate past administration of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
He urged the contractor to mobilise at the site, saying that failure to do so would compel the government to terminate the contract.
“I’m calling on the contractor to mobilise to the site in the next week. Failure to do so will compel the state government to revoke the CV contract,” the governor was quoted as saying….
