The first runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija in 2006, Francisca Owumi, has sadly passed away.
Her family shared the news of her death on Instagram, accompanied by the message, “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Naija News gathered that Owumi died after a brief illness.
She was a standout participant in the first season of Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija), where she was admired for her vibrant dance moves and engaging personality.
During her time in the BBNaija house, she lived alongside contestants like Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, and the late Joseph Ada.
Following her time on the reality show, Owumi pursued a career in music, releasing two singles, “Gbadun You” and “Diva,” under her own record label, Cisca Entertainment, in 2012. She was also a writer for Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
