Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has hailed striker, Robert Lewandowski for lowering his salary to enable the club to register new players.
Laporte said Lewandowski is committed to the Blaugrana amid Barca’s well-documented financial woes.
“Lewandowski, I’ve a special mention for him. He is a player committed to the club.
“When he heard that we had to make some efforts to reach the Fair Play to register players, he told us he could lower his contract in order to help the club,” Laporta said (as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano).
Lewandowski joined the LaLiga club from Bayern Munich in 2022.
