A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emmanuel Menseh Madaki, has said Governor Caleb Mutfwang helped Labour Party (LP) and Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidates win the National Assembly re-run elections in the state because he believes in capacity.
Recall that LP’s Asama Daniel won Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, while Pam Dachungyang of ADP won the Senate seat for Plateau North, in a rerun election, in February 2024.
The PDP had no candidate because of a Federal High Court judgement that nullified the party’s ticket.
Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, on Wednesday, Madaki said his party is committed to good governance and not selfishness in their choice to support the LP and ADP candidates.
He refuted any decamping rumour. He stated that the candidates and PDP never had any agreement before the election.
