‘I will be glad when you gone’ – Old tweet by man who tried to assassinate Trump resurfaces

Old tweets made by Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect arrested for the latest assassination attempt on Donald Trump, has resurfaced.

The suspect fired shots in Trump’s vicinity on his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday.

Despite the shots fired, Trump wasn’t hurt as the US Secret Service spotted the suspect immediately.

In a tweet shared in June 2020, Routh wrote: “@realDonaldTrump While you were my choice in 2106, I and the world hoped that president Trump would be different and better than the candidate, but we all were greatly disappointment and it seems you are getting worse and devolving; are you retarded; I will be glad when you gone”.

The United States Secret Service said investigation into the incident was ongoing.

DAILY POST recalls that a similar attempt was made on the former President’s life during his campaign in Pennsylvania.
