The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senator, Ireti Kingibe, has called on leaders to walk the path of progress for the benefit of the country.
Senator Kingibe regretted that amidst human and natural resources in the country, Nigeria’s progress has yet to reach its potential peak.
In her Independence Day message, on Tuesday, she noted that many Nigerians struggle with poverty, insecurity and lack access to basic necessities, while corruption and poor governance have weakened the country’s institutions.
“As the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, I stand with fellow citizens in commemorating this important milestone. Today, we reflect on our nation’s long journey toward development and sovereignty.
