A socio-economic group of Ondo indigenes, The Ekimogun Roundtable, has appealed to the Federal Government and the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to address the devastating flooding that has been claiming lives and properties in Ondo town.
The group stated that the flooding in the town has reached emergency levels, claiming lives and valuable property each year, while those still alive live in constant fear.
In a statement on Saturday, signed by its Acting Secretary, Christiana Ayodele, the group called on relevant Federal Government agencies, including the Ecological Fund Office and the National Emergency Management Agency, as well as the state government, to urgently assess the situation and provide a permanent solution.
