Akwa United assistant coach, Umar Abdullahi has blamed his team’s inability to convert their chances for the draw against Rangers.
The Promise Keepers were held to a goalless draw by Rangers at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Monday.
Abdullahi expressed his dissatisfaction with the outcome of the game.
“It is painful that the outcome of this game is not how we planned it. We were aiming to play and win this match but it ended in a goalless draw,” an angry Abdullahi stated in a post-match interview.
“Despite the fact that we played well and dominated the game, we were not able to make good use of our chances and that is why we are disappointed.
“A critical look at our team will show that we are making serious progress and we are playing well at the same time. If a team plays well, they will create chances and that is what we did but our major challenge was the inability of the players to convert our many chances.
