“False and malicious” – PDP Govs’ speak on lawsuit to force NEC meeting

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has released a strong disclaimer refuting reports that its Chairman or his associates had filed a lawsuit against the party in Gusau, Zamfara State.

Naija News reports that the denial was made public in a statement issued by the Director General of the PDP-GF, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, from Abuja on Tuesday.

Recall that reports had alleged that individuals linked to the Bauchi Governor had approached the Federal High Court in Gusau seeking an interim injunction to force the PDP to hold its National Executive Council meeting as scheduled. However, the court denied the request.

It is noteworthy that last week, PDP Governors had called on members involved in court cases against the party to withdraw them to foster reconciliation.
