TASUED to graduate 27 first class students, first set of PhD holders

The Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State is set to hold its 16th convocation which will feature the graduation of 27 First Class students among 4,140 graduates.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wole Banjo, announced this on Friday during a press briefing to kick-start activities for the event.

Banjo revealed that the convocation will also celebrate a milestone with the graduation of the university’s first set of doctorate degree holders, including an 85-year-old retired military colonel, Pa Bolaji Onafowokan, whose determination and perseverance make him a standout figure among the graduands.

Out of the 401 postgraduate students, 67 will receive PhD awards, 279 will earn Master’s Degrees, and 55 will be conferred with Postgraduate Diplomas in Education and other fields.
