The Niger State Government at its Executive Council meeting on Tuesday, 26th November 2024 presented a draft 2025 fiscal year budget estimate of N1.20trillion for Council approval.
Making the presentation, the Hon. Commissioner of Planning, Mustapha Ndajiwo informed the Council that the estimate is made up of N188.42billion or 15.68percent recurrent and N1.01trillion or 84.34percent capital expenditure respectively.
He said when compared with the approved budget of 2024, the estimate represents an increase of 32.94percent.

The Commissioner in his analysis stated further that despite the 2024 approved budget was supplemented with the sum of N191.98billion, highlighting that the breakdown of the draft 2025 proposals revealed an increase of 1.18 percent and 32.98 percent in recurrent and capital expenditure respectively.
