The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, has said the party’s target is to capture Rivers State in 2027.
Ganduje stated this while inaugurating the newly elected executive committee of the party in the state, led by Chief Tony Okocha in Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Saturday.
He said though the South-South geo-political zone is largely controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party, the APC is making inroads in the zone, with Cross River and Edo states already taken by the ruling party.
While congratulating the newly elected state executive members, Ganduje said, “Traditionally in APC, the inauguration of a state chapter is usually done at the headquarters of the APC in Abuja.
