Oyo partners Kwara, others to secure borders against bandits

The Oyo State Government has announced that it is collaborating with neighboring states to secure its borders against bandits from the northern part of the country.

DAILY POST gathered that Governor Seyi Makinde of the state had earlier stated that some bandits from the northern part of the country are entering the South-West region through Oyo State.

Our correspondent reports that Oyo shares borders with Kwara, Ogun, and Osun states.

The Special Adviser to the state governor on Security, Fatai Owoseni, however, noted that the state government is partnering with its neighboring states to secure its borders against bandits.

Owoseni made this revelation while briefing journalists on the resolution of the state security council on Tuesday.

While addressing the press, Owoseni urged residents to go about their lawful activities without fear, assuring them that the state government would pull out all the stops to ensure their safety.
