The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with separate murder cases in the Shanga and Zuru Local Government Areas.
In a statement released on Friday, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, detailed the incidents.
He said on December 31, 2024, at about 8:00 PM, Yunusa Haruna, 25, of Bakin Turu village in Shanga LGA, was arrested for allegedly stabbing his elder brother, Isiyaku Haruna, to death.
According to police reports, the suspect used a sharp knife during an altercation with his brother. Officers from the Shanga Divisional Police Headquarters promptly responded, leading to Yunusa’s arrest.
In a separate incident on January 8, 2025, Abubakar Umar, 25, from Jarkasa in Zuru LGA, was arrested for allegedly stabbing Mohammed Bala in the head during a disagreement, resulting in his death.
