Kaduna community decries incessant killings, displacement of people by bandits

Kauru Local Government Community Development Association in Kaduna State has raised concerns about the security challenges bedeviling the area.

A statement issued in Kaduna by the group’s chairman, Abel Habila Adamu, lamented, “The recent surge in violence and attacks in the area has resulted in the loss of lives, displacement of people, and destruction of property.”

While trying to resolve the situation through their initiatives, he said the situation has deteriorated to a point where they require immediate intervention from the relevant security agencies and the global community.

According to him, “The cases of abduction of innocent people in the area are alarming and uncalled for. Just last Friday, a woman was killed by her abductors in Kiffin Chawai after paying the ransom as demanded by the bandits.”
