Novak Djokovic has expressed his intention to return to the Australian Open next year, provided he maintains his fitness, health, and motivation.
The 37-year-old Serbian tennis star, who is striving for a record-extending 11th men’s singles title, unfortunately had to retire from his semi-final match against Alexander Zverev due to injury last Friday. As he exited the Rod Laver Arena, often referred to as his “second home,” Djokovic acknowledged the support of the 15,000 fans by raising both thumbs in the air.
When questioned about the possibility of this being his last appearance at Melbourne Park, Djokovic stated, “I don’t know. There is a chance. Who knows? I’ll have to see how the season unfolds.” He emphasized his desire to continue competing but indicated that his future schedule might be adjusted based on his performance and physical condition.
This marks the second consecutive year Djokovic has reached the semi-finals in Melbourne but has not advanced…
