LASTMA Dislodges Illegal Trailer Park Near Dangote Refinery

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has dislodged illegal tanker parking around the Dangote Refinery and the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

The move, which followed multiple warnings by the Lagos State Government, was aimed at averting traffic disruptions and ensuring smooth vehicular movement in these critical areas.

The operation is a proactive step to maintain unimpeded access for trucks entering and exiting the Dangote Refinery, while also safeguarding traffic flow along the Lekki-Ajah corridor.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa, who oversaw the exercise, reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy for indiscriminate parking.

He emphasised that parking violations, particularly around the Dangote Refinery, the Lekki Free Trade Zone, and the Lekki-Ajah Expressway, would no longer be tolerated.
