The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, on Sunday, declared its support for the move by the governing council of Federal University Oye-Ekiti, FUOYE, to probe the allegations of sexual harassment against the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Abayomi Fasina
NANS made this declaration via a statement signed by its Senate President, Babatunde Akinteye.
The statement was made available to DAILY POST on Sunday.
Prof Fasina has been accused of sexual harassment by a staff member of the institution, Folasade Adebayo, a deputy director in the Directorate of Works and Services.
DAILY POST learnt that the governing council of the institution, on Friday, announced that it had set up a nine-member panel to investigate accusations of sexual harassment and bribery against the Vice Chancellor.
Akinteye, while reacting, described the move by the governing council to investigate the matter as a welcome development.
