Popular Nigerian socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has denied allegations from a Kenyan woman, who claims he fathered her child. Chief Priest insists the accusations are part of a deliberate effort to disrupt his marriage.
The woman identified as Helen has been accusing the socialite of abandoning her and her alleged son, but Cubana Chief Priest has repeatedly refuted these claims.
Speaking during an appearance on the Rubbin’ Minds show on Sunday, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Chief Priest emphasized that he has never met Helen and firmly stated that the child is not his.
According to him, the woman’s approach seems to be aimed at attacking his marriage rather than seeking justice. He affirmed his love for children and his willingness to care for any child of his.
“Children are gifts from God regardless of how they come, and I have more than enough to take care of my children as many as possible that will come my way,” Chief Priest said on the programme.
Cubana Chief Priest described his marriage as the greatest blessing of his life and noted that the accusations have not affected his relationship with his wife. He explained that they share a bond that transcends marriage, as they are also business partners and close associates.
“I have a beautiful marriage; this is the best thing that has ever happened to me and if you watch the whole attack, it is on the marriage.”
When asked if he would have accepted if the child was his, Chief Priest replied “of course”, adding that he would accept to do a test to prove his innocence, “but you cannot bash me this hard and expect my loyalty.”
The Imo State-born businessman said the saga has been on for a while, but he does not know the people behind it.
