The Nigeria Customs Service, Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, Lagos announced that it collected the sum of N107.1bn as revenue in 2024.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Customs Area Controller in charge of the command, Joy Edeldouk, added that the figure represented a 101 per cent increase when compared to N53.4bn collected by the command same time in 2023.
“The command collected N107.1bn as revenue in 2024 when compared to N53.4bn that was collected by the command same period in 2023, it represents a 101 per cent surge in revenue,” Edeldouk stated.
Edeldouk also disclosed that the command decorated 37 newly promoted officers and men.
She stated that the remarkable revenue growth is attributed to the command’s strategic efforts to strengthen revenue collection, improve compliance, and enhance operational efficiency.
