Jarrod Bowen pulled one back with West Ham's only shot on target but Mohamed Salah and Jones added another one to wrap up the win.

This tweet probably sums up exactly how most Hammers supporters feel.

  • More from Moyes

David Moyes has refused to really tear into his players, but he clearly isn't too happy.

However, he didn't apologise to the fans, which after a performance like that, he probably should.

Speaking to Sky Sports about the 5-1 defeat to Liverpool, he said: "Tonight was disappointing.

"But we played against a really good team and we found it very difficult.

"We were only 1-0 down at half time and gave ourselves a real chance, but the second goal killed the game."

  • Moyes explains defeat

David Moyes has been speaking to Sky Sports about his team's awful display in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Liverpool.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I thought Liverpool played very well. We didn't play well enough.

"The second goal was a killer. We gave them a really poor second goal that made it really hard for us to get back into it and get a result.

"But we beat Arsenal to get here and then got the hardest draw.

"We made changes to give people a chance to show what they could do and because of the schedule."

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "There were plenty of top performances from the first second.

"We played really good football. They didn't have a shot or a set-piece in the first half.

"I am really happy for the boys, they showed up.

"Everyone on the pitch showed they wanted to play and win the game.

"It was a top performance from start to finish."

The Irons had two shots and scored with their only one on target.
