Rob Edwards now takes on Mauricio Pochettino aiming to claim a huge scalp and continue his side's good form.

Pochettino’s men remain inconsistent having followed up their Christmas Eve defeat at Wolves with a victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Luton vs Chelsea: Hope for the Hatters

Luton came from behind in the final 15 minutes to beat Sheffield United 3-2 on Boxing Day.

They left Bramall Lane with three points against one of their biggest relegation rivals and the result proved that they are good enough to stay up.

The Hatters were virtually written off before the season even started as they embarked on their first campaign in the Premier League.

However, the club are proving everyone wrong, beating top-four chasing Newcastle only three days before the victory in Sheffield.

Edward’s side will now be out to beat one of the ‘Big Six’ for the first time and they have the opportunity to do it in front of their fans at Kenilworth Road.

With Chelsea struggling yet again this season, Luton may just have a great chance of doing so…

Luton vs Chelsea: What has been said?

Blues boss Pochettino believes his players know what to expect from Kenilworth Road.

He said: "Of course. I think that game against Crystal Palace is a good example that we need to go there, to Luton, and to think it is going to be really tough. The stadium, the fans, it is a team that loves to fight, loves to work really, really hard.

"It is so difficult if you watch the last few games at their stadium, it's always tough for all of the opponents.

"If we want to get a good result, we need to be ready to of course play football, but we need to match their desire, the capacity to fight in every single goal.

"It's going to be a good test for us. It’s the challenge to be consistent. For us now, it's to go there and first of all to fight, be clever, be focused and then try to win the game."
