  • Another loan exit

Youngster Zan Monlouis looks set to leave Arsenal on Deadline Day to join Reading on loan, according to The Athletic.

Monlouis, who is part of the Gunners' U21 squad, is reported to be at Reading's training ground to complete the move.

The League One side are in need of defensive cover and will add the 20-year-old to their ranks this evening.

  • Marquinhos loan

Arsenal winger Marquinhos looks set to return to Brazil on loan, according to the Standard.

The Gunners recalled the 20-year-old from his last spell away and he is now attracting interest from Corinthians and Fluminense.

And their transfer window doesn't close until March, meaning there is no rush to get the deal done.

  • Contract terminated

Arsenal have announced the exit of goalkeeper Alex Runarsson.

The 28-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Cardiff City, but that deal has been ended and his contract with the Gunners terminated.

The Iceland international joined the north London club in September 2020 from French side Dijon FCO, making six appearances in his debut season, but didn't play another game.

He instead spent time in Belgium, Turkey and Wales on loan.

  • Swansea land Sagoe

Swansea have signed Charles Sagoe Jr from Arsenal on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old forward made his senior Gunners debut earlier this season in Carabao Cup and will now continue his development in the Championship.

  • Toney to stay

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has said there is no chance Ivan Toney will make a late deadline day move away from the club.

England striker Toney has been linked with Premier League rivals such as Arsenal and Chelsea in the January window.

The 27-year-old has scored 34 goals in 68 top-flight games for the Bees and Frank insists Toney will stay put after a month of speculation.

"This will be breaking news, OK - but Ivan will stay," Frank said at his press conference previewing Monday's clash with Manchester City.

  • Out the door

Arsenal are working on a couple more exits today before the window shuts.

James Benge, CBS Soccer Correspondent, has claimed the Gunners are working on a deal that will see Miguel Azeez join Spanish club Atletico Baleares.

And Simon Collings of the Evening Standard says goalkeeper Alex Runarsson is set to have his contract mutually terminated so he can leave the club and join Copenhagen today.

  • Dropping down

West Brom are keen to sign Calum Chambers on loan from Aston Villa, talkSPORT understands.

Villa manager Unai Emery has publicly admitted the ex-Arsenal defender is free to leave amid widespread Championship interest.

Chambers, 29, is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season.

  • Ibrahim leaves

Arsenal have confirmed that Bradley Ibrahim has joined Bundesliga 2 side Hertha BSC in a permanent transfer.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Gunners from QPR in 2017, has been part of the senior set-up in recent seasons.

But he has now departed the club to move to Germany with Arsenal saying: “We thank Bradley for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best with Hertha BSC.”

  • Another departure

Arsenal are expecting to confirm that Charles Sagoe Jr has joined Swansea City on loan at some point today.

The BBC report the 19-year-old is set to join teammate Charlie Patino in Wales for the remainder of the campaign.

Sagoe Jr is predominantly a left winger and made his first-team debut in Arsenal's win over Brentford in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

He's also captained the Under-21s in Europe and is a player that the Gunners feel would benefit from EFL football.

  • Cedric blow

Arsenal had hoped that Cedric Soares would leave the club this month to make room in the wage budget for a potential new incoming.

However, it looks like he's not going anywhere.

Arsenal and Galatasaray were in talks over a deal for the former Southampton man.

However, the Evening Standard report the Turkish giants have turned their attentions towards Nottingham Forest's Serge Aurier, ending their interest in Cedric.

But Besiktas are still interested and clubs in Turkey have until February 9 to sign players, meaning he could still depart.

  • More on Sousa

Lino Sousa will complete a move to Aston Villa today after failing to break into the first team at Arsenal.

The player has completed a medical at Villa Park and will sign a four-and-a-half year deal with Unai Emery's men.

He is then set to join Championship side Plymouth on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Sousa just never quite made the cut at the Emirates and a return to his native Midlands should prove to be a good deal for all concerned.

  • Sousa completed medical

Arsenal are still hopeful of some incomings today, but one player who is definitely leaving is Lino Sousa.

The Evening Standard report the left-back has now completed a medical ahead of completing a move to Aston Villa.

Sousa joined the Gunners in 2022 from West Brom but has failed to break into the first team.

And with his contract expiring in the summer, Arsenal have elected to make some money from Sousa.

  • Rashford one for the summer

Arsenal have had a long-standing interest in Marcus Rashford and they could reportedly make a serious attempt to sign him in the summer.

Football Insider claim the Gunners are monitoring Rashford's situation at Old Trafford after a few off-field incidents.

Plus, the England international has been in poor form this year, leading to suggestions he could leave Man United in the summer.

If that were to be the case, Arsenal would likely be all over it.

  • Wilson one to watch

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano believes that Callum Wilson could be one to watch for Arsenal today.

Newcastle are looking to sell players in an effort to raise funds to navigate Financial Fair Play and the England international would be available for the right price.

AC Milan and Atletico Madrid have already seen loan bids rejected by the Toon, so the Gunners would need to come up with a fee if they are to sign Wilson.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Romano said: "It could be one to watch (for Arsenal).

"Newcastle insist the player isn't going anywhere, so it's not easy. But if they receive an important proposal, that could be a different situation. Wilson could be open to a move."

  • Paul to play for

Paul Scholes took to Instagram to express his disregard for Oleksandr Zinchenko and his midfield positioning for Arsenal.

The Ukrainian international was named in the Gunners' starting XI for their 2-1 victory away at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

The Manchester United legend, regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in Premier League history, said on an Instagram story: "A full back coming in to central midfield is an insult to a central midfield player…

"I think he/she should be told to get the f*** back out there... night."

  • Gift of the gab

Gabriel Jesus has vowed to make scoring goals his priority amid Arsenal's continued links to sign a new striker.

The Brazilian, who found the net in Arsenal's 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest, said: "Sometimes it is all about stats and sometimes it is all about watching the game.

"Let’s go, come on. If you watch the game, you see me playing… I am close to 100 in the Premier League – that’s not easy.

"Then in the Champions League I am scoring a lot, in the national team I score. Sometimes, like I say, I am not focused on that (scoring goals) and that’s I think my mistake.

"So now, I think I change my mindset and I will be in the box more – and I try everything to score."

  • Sousa to Villa

Aston Villa are reportedly set to sign Lino Sousa from Arsenal.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed Villa have seen off competition from Rangers, Galatasaray and Juventus to land the 19-year-old defender.

  • Marquinhos on the move

Arsenal winger Marquinhos is reportedly set to return to Brazil on loan.

The 20-year-old was recalled from Nantes earlier this month after making just three league appearances for the Ligue 1 club.

The London Evening Standard report that Corinthians and Fluminense are now interested in him again.

Fluminense are currently the frontrunners and are looking to negotiate a loan move with a view to permanent deal.

  • Ibrahim to leave

Arsenal are reportedly set to sell highly-rated teenager Bradley Ibrahim to Hertha Berlin.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has claimed German club Hertha are set to sign the 19-year-old for an undisclosed fee.

Romano tweeted: "Hertha Berlin agree permanent deal to sign Bradley Ibrahim from Arsenal.

"Player in Berlin with agent Alan Redmond from Roc Nation. Exclusive details: Contract until 2027.

"Arsenal will have matching rights. Healthy sell-on clause + add-ons for appearances."

  • ‘Just a beautiful footballer to watch’

Mikel Arteta has hailed Emile Smith Rowe following his performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest last night.

Smith Rowe, who has been linked with leaving the Gunners this month, made his first top-flight start since October and impressed his boss.

On what he enjoyed most about Smith Rowe’s display, Arteta said: “That he went for it, that he was free, he was flowing, he was moving, he was participating.

“His body language was good, he’s just a beautiful footballer to watch.

“I’m really pleased because he was really connected with the team and I thought he played the game in a really good way.”

  • Dewsbury-Hall eyed

Leicester City do not want to sell Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall this month despite interest from Arsenal.

Football Insider claim the Gunners are keen on the 25-year-old midfielder and could launch a late bid this winter.

Brighton, Brentford and Fulham are all said to be interested as well.

But it is understood that Leicester have no intention of entertaining any offers for Dewsbury-Hall.

  • Academy blow

Arsenal could be set to lose teenage starlet Amario Cozier-Duberry this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The 18-year-old is set to run out of contract at the Gunners at the end of the season and an agreement over a new deal is yet to be reached.

Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax are all said to be looking at signing Cozier-Duberry once he becomes a free agent.

Losing the winger would be a blow as he has been compared to Bukayo Saka by U18s manager Jack Wilshere.

Wilshere said: "He reminds me of Bukayo Saka, plays in the same position as him, needs to get better with his decision-making like Bukayo did, but he’s definitely exciting.

"In some moments he’s unplayable. You give him the ball and he can make things happen. You can set up a team and have a game plan, but when you’ve got individuals like that you’ve got a chance."

  • Cedric close to exit

Galatasaray are in talks to sign Cedric Soares from Arsenal before the deadline, according to the Independent.

The Gunners defender is out of contract in the summer but the club are keen to receive some money for his exit.

And the Turkish side are willing to pay for Cedric as their manager, Fernando Santos, looks to link up with his former Portugal right-back.

The transfer window in Turkey closes on February 8, giving them an extended time to get the deal done.

  • ‘We are really thin’

Mikel Arteta claims Arsenal have the most stretched squad in the Premier League.

But the Gunners are unable to add to their ranks before January transfer window shuts.

He said: “We have one of the thinnest squads in the league, that's for sure.

“And when you talk about the numbers, especially in certain areas, we are really thin.

“It wasn't possible [to do any January deals]. And now we didn't have the capacity to improve the team in the way that we think we want to improve it.

“So we decided not to do something yet.”

  • ‘Something special’

Mikel Arteta has hailed Jurgen Klopp following his upcoming departure from Liverpool and the Premier League.

The Arsenal boss said: “I think he’s made this league much better.

“First of all the person, the character, the charisma, the way of transmitting his ideas and passion for the game is something special.

“He’s had a big contribution for the growth of this league and I love the way he did it. The emotion that he put in and when you see the human side explaining the reasons behind it and the challenges and everything that is related to our job, I think it was spot on.

“When someone has done what he’s done for that football club in the league you have to respect that and basically say thank you because I think he made the league better, every manager better and this league much more beautiful and intense.”
