Real Madrid are weighing up a €75m move for Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, with manager Xabi Alonso reportedly pushing for the deal.

Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a €75m move for Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, with manager Xabi Alonso keen to bring the Dutchman to the Bernabeu. Spanish outlet Fichajes reports Alonso has told club president Florentino Perez that the 23-year-old should be made a priority signing.

Gravenberch has flourished under Liverpool boss Arne Slot since joining from Bayern Munich in 2023, helping the Reds to last season’s Premier League title. He featured in 37 league matches, providing four assists, and has already registered a goal and an assist this campaign.

The midfielder’s agent, Jose Fortes, previously admitted Madrid have long admired Gravenberch, saying: “He’s good enough for Real Madrid. We would love for him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money.”

Liverpool, however, are under no pressure to sell, with Gravenberch contracted until 2028. Madrid already boast strong midfield depth, though Alonso reportedly sees him as a long-term fit alongside Aurelien Tchouameni.
