Boris Johnson’s claim that Vladimir Putin threatened to kill him in a missile strike after he paid a visit to Kyiv last year also makes the front page of the Sun.

The Daily Telegraph leads on claims that Rishi Sunak dismissed Nadhim Zahawi “without a fair hearing” claiming that allies of the axed Conservative Party chairman say the PM sacked him for “political expediency”.

Daily Star

The Daily Star splashes on the story that Pamela Anderson’s childhood ambition was, apparently, to be a librarian, however she changed her mind after posing for glamour magazines. 

The Times

Nadhim Zahawi’s departure is the lead story on the Times with the paper stating that the minister broke rules over his tax affairs seven times, according to a report.

The Daily Mail also splashes on the story that Vladimir Putin threatened to kill Boris Johnson after the former PM warned the Russian president invading Ukraine would be an “utter catastrophe”.

Daily Mirror

The Daily Mirror brands the Conservative Party “rotten to the core” following the PM’s decision to sack Nadhim Zahawi over his run in with HMRC, claiming the party is “engulfed by sleaze”.

Daily Express

The Daily Express leads on the story that Vladimir Putin allegedly threatened to kill Boris Johnson during a a phone call after he visited Kyiv shortly before war broke out in Ukraine last February. The paper reports the Russian president told the then PM “with a missile it would only take a minute”.

Rishi Sunak’s allies blaming Boris Johnson for “Tory sleaze” after he sacked Nadhim Zahawi makes the front of the i, quoting former chancellor George Osborne saying the PM is being “pulled down by a series of scandals of the Johnson era”.

The Financial Times also splashes on the departure of Nadhim Zahawi over his run in with HMRC branding the decision to relieve him of his duties a “significant U-turn” for the PM.

The Metro leads on the sacking of Nadhim Zahawi from the role of Conservative Party chairman over his tax arrangements, claiming the MP hasn’t shown remorse over the issue.
