Reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has concluded plans to release mopped-up naira notes dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.
The Punch reports that the CBN has finally concluded plans to release all N1,000, N500 and N200 notes in its custody to commercial banks on Thursday. The newspaper says election petition tribunals in 12 states have received no fewer than 146 petitions from national assembly candidates who are aggrieved by the conduct of the elections.
