: Following the submission of the first set of ministerial nominees to the Senate, indications have emerged that President Bola Tinubu will restructure some of the ministries of the Federal Government by merging some, creating new ones and scrapping others.


The Guardian: Exactly two months after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu removed subsidy on petrol and said the decision would free up money for education, regular power supply, transport infrastructure and healthcare, Nigerians have started lamenting that they are yet to feel any positive impact of the policy.


Vanguard: CITIZENS, including lawyers, human rights activists, academics, and artisans have faulted the palliative measures put in place by some state governments to bolster the consequence of the removal of fuel subsidy on the people, saying it was a wrong strategy.


ThisDay: In continuation of efforts to push back coupists and restore democracy in Republic of Niger, President Bola Tinubu, in his capacity as Chairman, ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will tomorrow in Abuja host a special meeting of the leaders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).


The Nation: Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has forwarded the list of commissioner-nominees to the House Assembly for screening and confirmation. The 39 names are a mixture of politicians and technocrats. While some of the immediate past members of the State Executive Council returned, many did not return.
