The PUNCH: Oil marketers are awaiting the price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, produced by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, following the announcement by the plant that only the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited will lift the product from the refinery at the moment. PMS was officially launched on Tuesday by the $20bn plant located in Lekki Free Trade Zone in Lagos. The President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, announced that the 650,000-capacity oil refinery had commenced petrol production.

Vanguard: Against the backdrop of a new increase in petrol price, marketers have adopted a wide range of price differentials nationwide with petrol stations owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, among the highest pump prices.

The Nation: On the day Dangote Refinery commenced the supply of petrol with a promise to make the product available in the market in 48 hours, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited filling stations adjusted their meters to reflect new prices. This action was amid a long-running scarcity of the product across the country. There was no word from the national oil company on the new price regime.

Daily Trust: The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Tuesday demanded immediate reversal of the latest hike in the price of petrol across the country. NLC President, Joe Ajaero, said the labour movement felt betrayed by the federal government over the fresh hike in the price of petrol.
