Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has asked the Federal Government to apologise for the raid on the Abuja residence of Justice Mary Odili of the Supreme Court and wife of a former governor of Rivers State, Sir Peter Odili.
DAILY POST recalls that security operatives had invaded Justice Odili’s home on Friday.
The search warrant showed that the panel comprises the EFCC, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and the Ministry of Justice.
But, the EFCC has since denied reports that its operatives were behind the raid.
PANDEF in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Ken Robinson, condemned the raid, describing it as barbaric and dictatorial.
The forum noted that the raid was one of the too many of actions by agents of Buhari’s government against persons from the South-South region.
Part of the statement read: “The raid at Justice Odili’s residence is another attempt by agents of the Buhari administration to further intimidate and humiliate the nation’s judiciary.
“And this is one of such actions too many against persons of southern extraction, particularly, persons from the South-South geopolitical zone…
