Woman vows to prove Ekiti ex-First Lady, Bisi Fayemi was arrested with stolen N500m in Dubai after Mrs Fayemi petitioned Nigeria Police, alleging cyberbullying

Bisi Fayemi, wife of the former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi has petitioned the police, asking that the woman should be investigated. The woman has been identified as Mrs Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi, whom the former first lady accused of cyberbullying.

In the petition dated November 14 and addressed to the police commissioner through her lawyer, Luke Ekene Mbam of Octodas Attorneys (Topmost Chambers), according to Daily Trust, Mrs Fayemi accused the woman of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and criminal, incessant and unabated social media attacks.

Invoking the provisions of the Cyber Crimes Act 2015, Mrs Fayemi accused Abimbola of spreading malicious falsehood against her, adding that she had so far failed to prove the allegations.

According to her, she was left with no option but to petition the police to clear her name and protect her image and reputation.

It was reported that Abimbola had in several posts on her Facebook page accused Mrs Fayemi of shielding “family members” from arrest and prosecution for alleged sexual offences.

Abimbola is said to have also accused Mrs Fayemi of money laundering to the tune of N500 million in Dubai and stealing N710 million a few weeks after the inauguration of her husband as the state governor in 2018.
