An estranged husband is believed to have stabbed to death his wife, their two children, a family relative and the family pet before taking his own life in a horrific quadruple murder suicide.
Police had attended the property in Buffalo Grove, around 30 miles north of Chicago, on Wednesday November 30 to conduct a wellbeing check on a woman.
After officers were unable to make contact with anyone inside the home they forced their way in and searched the house, finding five bodies inside.
The following day the Lake County Coroner’s Office identified the five dead as Lilia Kisliak, 67, Andrei Kisliak, 39, Vera Kisliak, 36, Vivian Kisliak, 6, and Amilia Kisliak, 4.
