Footballer who 'carried a condom in his sock' bonked in cupboard at half-time

DAILY STAR

A well-prepared footballer played with a condom in his sock to ensure he would have time for a quick bonk at half-time.

There are plenty of stories of players engaging in sexual intercourse shortly before a match. Legendary player – footballer and playboy – George Best was caught in the act an hour before Manchester United’s semi-final against Leeds United in 1970.

“I had my normal nightmare against Leeds,” he wrote in his autobiography. “Their players had also got wind of what had gone on in the hotel and [Leeds player] Johnny Giles had a go at me on the field about it.”

However, there are no stories of Best getting it on at half-time in a game, unlike former Israel international Felix Halfon, who clearly wasn’t paying attention to his manager’s instructions midway through a friendly against Sweden in 1993.

Instead, Halfon was getting up close and personal with a Swedish woman in a cupboard. He later brazenly admitted: “It was no big deal. I always carried a condom in one of my socks.”
