Family breakdown as adopted kid turns out to be 'adult sociopath' with dwarfism

DAILY STAR

A family who believed they had adopted a Ukrainian little girl with dwarfism have said the supposed six-year-old was actually a 23-year-old “adult sociopath” who tried to kill them.

Kristine Barnett, 45, and Michael Barnett, 43, from Indiana, US, claim the three-foot-tall Natalia Grace impersonated a child and was actually in her 20s, and tried to kill them.

The family have taken part in a new documentary airing later this month where they bare all the details behind the terrifying tale, which people have likened to the 2009 horror Orphan.

In one extract from the three-part series ‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace’, Michael broke down in a fit of rage and tears recalling the “abuse” they experienced back in 2010.

They explained their suspicions about Natalia’s age began to rise after she became violent and “threatened to stab” their other children.

According to the LadBible, Michael accused her of trying to “poison and kill” his wife. Adding that one night he woke up and claimed Natalia was standing at the foot of their bed with a knife.

Their biological son, Jake, also corroborated such claims, stating: “I definitely didn’t feel safe around Natalia.”
