The Reps-elect, representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Hon. Philip Agbese has described the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele as a corrupt economic rascal who had no business in governance.
Agbese, in a statement, Friday night, said by suspending Emefiele, the president has again displayed readiness for the job by taking drastic decisions for the good of the nation.
According to him, Emefiele’s dismissal and subsequent arrest are long overdue, urging the President to go a step further to axe other corrupt officials in government.
Describing Emefiele as an “economic rascal”, Agbese said the ex-CBN boss’ suspension would serve as a deterrent to other corrupt government officials.
He stressed that Emefiele must be punished for the suffering he brought on Nigerians in the name of economic reforms and policies.
He said: “I am pleased with the news that Emefiele has been suspended. There is excitement all over the nation as though a dictator had just been arrested. It goes a long way to show how Nigerians detest one man.
“Emefiele has no business in governance. He is corrupt, incompetent, and vicious – bereft of ideas to move the country forward and without a sustainable solution to the current hardship faced by Nigerians.
